Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is a derivative obtained by acetyl substitution on four hydroxyl groups of sodium hyaluronate disaccharide structure. Due to the introduction of a large number of acetyl groups, the lipophilicity of acetylated hyaluronate is greatly improved. Compared with traditional sodium hyaluronate, acetylated sodium hyaluronate is more efficient in moisturizing, repairing skin barrier and increasing skin elasticity, as well as better transdermal and hyaluronidase resistance. Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate (AcHA), also known as Acetylated Hyaluronate Sodium, is a modified form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to hydrate and lubricate tissues. AcHA has several uses in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries, including as a moisturizing agent in skincare products and as a drug delivery system for certain medications. Its unique chemical structure allows it to penetrate the skin more deeply than regular hyaluronic acid, providing longer-lasting hydration and anti-aging benefits. In addition, AcHA has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties, making it a potentially useful ingredient in topical treatments for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Overall, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate is a versatile compound with many potential applications in the fields of cosmetics and medicine. |
Normal human dermal fibroblasts (NHDFs) obtained from a donor who had an abdominal surgery under informed consent were seeded at 250 000 cells per well in 6-well plates. After 72 h of culture, the cells were stimulated for 24 h with sodium acetylated hyaluronate or with non-acetylated hyaluronate, which are same molecular weight (15 kDa) as a control at 0.01% (w/v) for NHDF in free Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM from Gibco, Thermo Fisher Scientific).
